Had a wonderful stay at Jyoti Mahal – A Royal Heritage Hotel. The receptionist staff were very polite, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. The canteen/restaurant team also provided excellent service and were friendly and attentive. The hotel has a nice ambience with a royal feel, creating a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. Rooms and common areas were clean and well maintained. Overall, good service, clean environment, and a great hospitality experience. Recommended for a comfortable stay
Stayed 3 nights at Jyoti Mahal in New Delhi. The hotel has a really unique vibe – it feels like a small Indian palace with lots of traditional details, which I liked a lot. Great location, close to the city center. Biggest highlight is the staff – very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the security guard, super nice guy and easy to talk to 👍 The rooftop was also nice with good service, although quite expensive. On the downside, cleanliness could definitely be better (though acceptable for local standards). Also, the way rooms are locked – padlock outside and bolts inside – didn’t feel very comfortable. Great atmosphere and amazing staff, but some things need improvement.
I was incredibly surprised by the size and look of the hotel. You would never guess from the outside how beautiful the hotel is from the inside. The rooms were big and clean. The staffs are eager to help. The decor immediately transports you to Rajasthan. Their rooftop cafe looks cozy and beautiful but has strict timings (they refused to serve me coffee after 19:00 because it was dinner time, which is a little inconvenient for travellers who probably just arrived after a long day of travel). Although everyone says the location is central and convenient, our biggest problem was just that. This nice hotel is like an island in the middle of a chaotic sea. We nearly missed our next transport because no taxi or auto wanted to come inside the alley since the alley was closed due to a wedding tent being pitched. We then had to drag our suitcases out to a complete different street in order to flag down something. So yes such situations can arise. However it was very comfortable stop-over short little stay for us.
A very quaint hotel, in the heart of Paharganj, right behind the defunct Imperial Theatre. Very, very friendly, family run hotel, converted from an old Haveli type house. All the staff are very friendly, from the security in front, Rajesh, to the front desk staff, to the owner, Mr Cheena Singh, to even the regal old man, a friendly 14 year old Golden retriever, Jordan. Not a huge fan of the area, but definitely a big fan of Jyoti Mahal now!! Will definitely be back. Breakfast is tasty and simple, rooms are clean and air-conditioning was excellent. Water pressure in the bathrooms was sufficient as was the comfort of the beds.
A century old heritage building in the heart of old Delhi's Pahargunj, Hotel Jyothi Mahal is a relic of a bygone era. It is a friendly family run hotel with its gracious and generous owners always on hand to assist if you need anything and very pleasant staff. The room was decorated with solid wooden antique style furniture and the bed was generous and mattress VERY comfortable. We were also very pleased to note that the wall sockets took all international plugs so we could charge our devices without the need of an adaptor. We loved the charming roof-top restaurant while breakfast was served in the dramatic dining room. The whole place is decorated with antique artworks and the courtyards are lit up every evening in candle light...enchanting!!
