Description
The first stop on your full-day tour of the Indian capital is Old Delhi, the city's historic district. After being picked up from your accommodation, head toward the Red Fort, which was constructed by Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor who also constructed the Taj Mahal. After that, you'll take a rickshaw through the busy Chandni Chowk shopping district and arrive at the Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, which dates back to the 17th century.
Following a stop for a traditional local lunch, you will travel to New Delhi and see the tallest brick tower in the world, the Qutub Minar, before arriving at the tomb of Mughal Emperor Humayun. After seeing the India Gate, a monument to the Indian troops who lost their lives in World War I, visitors can continue on to the Lotus Temple, which is tastefully shaped like a lotus blossom.
Finally, you will be transported back to your lodging after passing the Parliament Buildings and the Presidential House.
