Description
Set sail from our docks, located just a short walk from the center of Olbia and offering free parking, on our new 9.15-meter (30 ft) BWA 308 GTO inflatable boat, which is certified to carry up to 20 people on board but which we will make more comfortable by forming small groups of no more than 12 people. We will cross the calm waters of the port of Olbia and head towards the island of Figarolo (approximately a 25-minute boat ride) in search of the colony of bottlenose dolphins that inhabit those waters. We may encounter two different scenarios. In the first scenario, the dolphins will be within the fish farm area off the island. They will be busy foraging for food, and we will likely spot them from a greater distance, as the farm is marked off by buoys. The second scenario will occur when the dolphins are outside the enclosures and therefore in the open sea. In this case, we will have the opportunity to get closer, while always ensuring that the animals are treated with respect and protected. In this case, it will be possible to see these beautiful animals up close and observe their behavior in their natural habitat. Please remember that we are in the wild and not in an aquarium, so the presence of dolphins is entirely at their discretion, although the chances of seeing them are very high. We will also make a few stops for swimming and snorkeling in the most beautiful coves on Figarolo Island, allowing you to dive into their crystal-clear waters, and then we will offer you a cold drink on board.
