Description
Travel through the cities of Delhi-Agra-Rishikesh-Haridwar on a fascinating tour of historical and religious places of India. Visit the capital of the country - Delhi, see the famous Taj Mahal in Agra, visit Rishikesh - a sacred city for Hindus, where temples and ashrams are located, and Haridwar - an ancient city, which is considered the gateway to the shrines of the Himalayas.
Day 1: Delhi-Agra-Delhi
Start at Delhi airport at 4:00 AM. Departure to Agra. The journey takes 3 hours + layover. Meet your guide and have breakfast at your hotel in Agra.
Visit the Taj Mahal, a majestic mausoleum-mosque. It is one of the most famous structures in the world, attracting millions of tourists every year. Next, visit the Agra Fort, a historical monument of architecture. It was built in the 16th century and served as a residence for the Mughals. Return to Delhi and check in at the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi
Start at 9:00 am after breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Jama Masjid Mosque, one of the largest and most important mosques in India. It was built in 1656 by order of Emperor Shah Jahan.
Take a cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi. Next, see the Red Fort, one of the outstanding architectural structures of Indian culture.
Visit the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, a monument to Mahatma Gandhi and other Indian prime ministers.
See the Akshardham Temple, the largest Hindu temple in the world. Visit the Lotus Temple, the main temple of the Baha'i religion in India.
Next, visit the Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Hindu temple, also known as Birla Mandir. See the India Gate, originally called the All India War Memorial. Visit the President's House, the official residence of the President of India in New Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi-Haridwar-Rishikesh
Start at 9:00 am after breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the city of Rishikesh. On the way, visit the holy city of Haridwar. Haridwar is famous for its holy places and is one of the seven sacred cities of Hinduism.
Visit the Har-Ki-Puri temple, built in honor of the god Vishnu, one of the main deities of Hinduism. Transfer to Rishikesh. Arrive in Rishikesh and check in at the hotel. In the evening, attend a prayer ceremony on the banks of the Ganges River.
Day 4: Rishikesh-Delhi
Start the day with a visit to the Lakshman Jhula Bridge, a popular point for meditation and spiritual development.
Visit the Ram Jhula Bridge, a popular place for walking and taking pictures. Next, visit Triveni Ghat, a place where people can purify their souls and bodies by bathing in the holy waters of the Ganges River.
Visit Patna Falls, a powerful stream of water that falls from a height of about 40 meters. The water cascades down, creating an amazing sound and splashes that create the effect of mist around the waterfall.
Visit the Beatles Ashram, named after the fact that in 1968, the members of The Beatles stayed here during their spiritual journey. Departure to Delhi and transfer to the airport.
