A special thanks to Ajit for his exceptional service. I casually mentioned I was craving gulab jamun for breakfast, and he went the extra mile to make sure I got to taste it. The breakfast spread was excellent, with a great variety of cuisines and impressive attention to detail.
Easily rhis is one of the best place in NCR for extravagant buffet places. Loved the place moment I stepped in premise. They have this grand entry hall and stairs taking you to Tamra, also they had the lift but I liked stairs more. Once you settle in and start exploring the place it take some time to soak all cuisines and live counters. I started with Japanese rice with teriyaki sauce with was 😋 🫶, they sushi counter was awesome. Dimsums were great too, they also had umami noodles 🍜 which I find start of day. I find one corner with Kashmiri Dishes, they bread was so good, although lamb was not that good, to me it was bit hard and had weard small (could be that was intentional but not to my liking) Rest regular buffet breads and curries were specially there and all of them were well prepared. Once more special hilight was there fresh fruit section, it was so delicious that feel like all the fruits are coming from farm directly , Enjoyed that alot. Also to end with perfect cappuccino was good idea. Given price point you get what you pay for but it feel like something was missing to make it completely satisfied.
Sorry but you expect more from a restaurant inside a hotel like Shangri La. Quality of food and ambience was good but the variety and taste was nothing more than ordinary. Indian flavours need more spice. Western flavours were better. A South Indian and an Italian counter were missing. No beverages in buffet. Ice creams and deserts were good. A pretty truncated spread at this price point I would say. Leaves much more to be desired.
Dinner at Tamra, Shangri-La Eros was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambience is vibrant yet elegant, with beautiful live kitchens that really add to the atmosphere. The food spread was impressive and delicious, but there were a few clear standouts. The Dal Tamra is hands down one of the best Dal Makhani I have ever had—rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. The Dim Sums were also fresh and flavorful. We ended the meal on a high note at the dessert station. The variety was great, but the gelato ice creams stole the show. Do not miss the Coffee flavor; it was outstanding! Overall, a wonderful place for a family meal with great service and delicious food!
