A quick local tip on Thai food

If you ask me, do not skip the small places tucked away in Hauz Khas Village when it comes to Thai food. I had my best Thai curry there in a tiny spot called "Thai Zaika",a simple setup but the coconut milk, tamarind, and fresh basil were on point and nicely balanced. Also, watch for seasonal specials; around winter, they sometimes bring in Thai-style hot pots which are wonderful after a chilly Delhi evening.

Another quick heads up: Thai desserts here are hit or miss, so if you come across mango sticky rice or coconut ice cream, give it a try, they might pleasantly surprise you.

Authentic Thai spots are a bit rare, but places like Silom Soi 7 in Shahpur Jat and some stalls in Khan Market come close. Authenticity here means fresh ingredients and bold flavors, not just mild versions of Thai dishes.
Absolutely, Thai cuisine naturally has lots of vegetarian choices like tofu curries, veggie stir-fries, and those spicy papaya salads. Just ask your server to skip fish sauce and eggs if you want it fully vegan.
It varies but generally, Thai places fall somewhere in the mid-range. You won’t pay as much as for fancy continental or Mediterranean, but it isn’t as cheap as street chaat stalls either. Worth it though, for a good meal.
Mostly plated meals at restaurants, but a few places try to recreate street snacks, like Silom Soi 7’s Pad Thai or some fried sticky rice cakes. Not quite like Thailand’s night markets, but close enough.
Most places are happy to adjust spice on request, but be clear if you want it mild or spicy,‘medium’ can mean very different things in a city like Delhi. And yes, some dishes are naturally spicy no matter what!
