⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Visited Kake Di Hatti at Chandni Chowk, Delhi, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! The iconic giant stuffed naan is a must try crispy, cheesy, generously stuffed, and big enough to share with friends. The curries were rich and flavorful, and the portions were huge, making it great value for money. Despite being a busy place, the service was quick and the staff managed everything efficiently. The place has that classic Old Delhi charm and a lively atmosphere that makes the experience even better. If you’re in Chandni Chowk and craving authentic North Indian food, Kake Di Hatti is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
I was walking aimlessly and saw this establishment and the showcase up front housing samosas and these deep fried triangular things, which I kept seeing in other stores. I mustered the courage to ask for it, then was ushered inside. The waiters didn’t speak English so I gestured and successfully was served this 40 rupee delight—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a flavor bursting potato (and rice?) filling speckled with mildish green chili. The complimentary green and red sauce were fantastic too.
Visited Kake Di Hatti in Chandni Chowk for lunch, and it turned out to be a great food experience. The restaurant is located on the first floor, and the biggest downside is the very steep staircase (around 70–80°), which can be difficult for elderly people or anyone with mobility issues. Also, like most places in Chandni Chowk, the area is extremely congested, and parking is a major challenge. That said, once you reach the restaurant, the experience is worth it. The ambience is clean, comfortable, and pleasant. We ordered the Amritsari Thali, which included chole, shahi paneer, and boondi raita—everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The Chole Bhature was equally delicious, with perfectly cooked bhature and tasty chole. To complete the meal, we had chaas and sweet lassi, both of which were refreshing and excellent in taste. Overall, if you're visiting Chandni Chowk and don't mind the steep stairs and crowded surroundings, Kake Di Hatti is definitely worth trying for its authentic North Indian food and good ambience.
It's an old jewel of old Delhi.... vegetarian but does have some alcohol options in drinks. It's a family dining. We sat on the ground floor itself and ordered stuffed chur chur naan, dhuandhar naan, chole, dal makhni, chai and fresh lime soda. The naans were well prepared. Dhuandhar naan had about a thali full of green chilli and if this was still less then it had degi mirch....we really couldn't eat this...😱. But rest order was extremely well made and served. Nizwan attended us with careful non offensive friendly behaviour...we enjoyed our interactions with him. One must go to this place if the best thing one wants to do is sleep after stomach is full.
It’s an mesmerising restaurant to visit with friends and family, despite the streets being too crowded and stairs too high. We ordered amristsari kulcha, butter garlic naan, malai kofta and paneer lababdar and all of the items were a fine dine and cost was approx 1500 for a group of 4 adults and 1 child. The staffs were also very well behaved and understanding. I would surely recommend a visit.
